This app is absolutely perfect for putting together M3U8 or HSL files for Apple, Andriod and other mobile devices. I am not a developer with Apple and needed to setup M3U8 files for presenting video via mobile and tablet apps. Did research trying to figure out "command line" M3U8 files and was not able to without a developer account. This app is so simple! Select your video file, select output folder and click your settings and let it do its thing. Very simple to get your settings just right for your own purposes and did I mention that the app is quick! The video files were done in a snap! Great customer support and got my questions answered within minuets! Well built, quick encoding, and have not had any issues! Would fully reccomend for anyone trying to get long videos online for mobile devices!

This is a fantastic app. Highly recommended. Heres your choice: - spend hours surfing the web trying to understand how to get decent results using Apples command-line tools (which do not by default know about Apples encoding recommendations, and which Apple itself marks as Beta) - spend hundreds of dollars for Final Cut Pro X so you can use Apples Compressor tool - buy this app and get what you want done in a few minutes. Really, if you need to encode a piece of video so you can stick it onto an HTTP server so it can be viewed by iOS devices, HTTP Live Streaming is the way to go and this app is by far the simplest way to prepare the video for the server. What would make it even better: - a way for the user to provide encryption keys, so you can use the same keys over multiple, distinct videos

The best I’ve experienced on the App Store. Simple product that that does exactly as advertised. No hassles, no issues, and no problems. I say fantastic Customer Service, not because I needed help using the software (it’s super easy to use), but because I had a question about encoding, and I got a response within 24 hours. Actually, I lied. I got a response in 8 minutes. I sent the email with my question at 3:46PM, and got a response by 3:52PM with an answer. I’m not saying that will happen to you, but man, I can definitely get behind a company (or individual) that stands behind its products. I never really take time to write reviews. But this is hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had in a while on the App Store, and I had to make mention of it. Anyways, as for the actual product, I got fed up with the command line and reading Apple’s documentation. This one piece of software took all the guesswork out of it and made it an extremely smooth and simple process. Highly recommended.

There is a bug that if you load a video, change the dimensions..it works fine the first time as both width and height adjust based on the correct aspect ratio. However if that video completes, and you load another video, adjusting the width and height has no affect. The numbers don’t update based on aspect ratio either. You have to quit the app, and restart it. I will definitley update my star rating if this gets fixed, but right now I can’t really recommend this app for more than one video at a time. It would be nice to have a batch convert option as well.

Adds a GUI to an otherwise command line only task

This app works great for easily converting videos for use with online streaming for iOS devices.

Just like others here, I very rarely take the time to leave reviews. If I pay for an app, it should do what it’s supposed to do without any fanfare from me. However, this app, and developer have gone far beyond just doing what they’re supposed to do. This little app makes it a breeze to output video files for adaptive streaming. It automatically generates incredibly useable default streams, along with all required playlist files, tucked neatly into folders. You can easily tweak all the associated settings, omit streams you don’t need, adjust the target duration, and more…all in one place. The amount of work I saved on my first project using this app was more than well worth the cost. As for the developer, Anand - I ran into a very slight issue with the playback via JW Player’s Flash based HLS streaming emulation for non-iOS browsers. Most developers would have blamed JW Player, or Flash, and left it at that until more people, if any, complained. I sent a message via the Contact form on his website, got a response later that evening, and he went straight to work trying to find the issue. Through this process, he Skyped with me to see what was happening on my end, worked with my video files, and made himself completely available until the problem was located and fixed. I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to host their own Adaptive Streaming Video, without any of the headache or expense that is usually involved!

I just noticed there was an update to this app and the developer has added the ability to queue up videos as I requested in my earlier review. Great to see a responsive developer! Conversion runs quickly & smoothly even on the older Mac Mini I’ve been using to convert videos while I work on my main iMac, videos have streamed without problems in my tests on both iPhone & iPad, both on WiFi and on my cell data connection. Great app.

I needed to convert 20 videos from older QuickTime formats to HLS and this tool made the process quick and easy. Configuration was simple, and it successfully made everything I needed available from my existing HTTP(s) server.

One Click M3U8 exceeds expectations

Large companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars building the infrastructure to do what this one, very useful tool does right out-fo-the-box. One Click M3u8 is just about as simple as you can get for the amount of powerful capabilities that it provides. The ability to batch-process a series of videos, and come back a few hours later and see them all completed along with their .m3u8 manifest-files is fantastic.
